Advertise your business on Million Short alongside websites in the same tier of popularity as your website
People have been asking how they can advertise on Million Short so we decided to create (we're still working on it) an experimental Pay Per Click advertising system.
Imagine this:
When you advertise your new or small business website on Million Short, your ad dollars only compete with other new or small business web sites. Million Short does not allow ads from websites in a more popular tier than yours to be displayed alongside yours - period.
If you advertise your family business hardware store, your ads only appear next to other small business hardware stores - "advertise alongside your peers". Larger, more popular websites can advertise on Million Short, but their ads compete with other popular websites, and not with your new or small business.

How It Would Work:
When you advertise on Million Short your advertising dollars only compete with other websites in the same tier of popularity as your website. So if your wesbsite is not in the top 1 million most popular website (and most small businesses aren't) then your ad dollars only compete with other sites that are less also not part of the top 1 million most popular.
More popular websites are NOT permitted to display their ads when a search is done that would normally exclude their website from the results. *However, less popular and smaller sites ARE allowed to advertise upward.
Scenario:
You own a small family hardware store in Chicago. You want to advertise for the terms "Hardware store Chicago" but all the popular sites have bid up the price for that term to $5/click and you cannot afford to compete and advertise at $5/click. Go to MillionShort.com and advertise your hardware store for $0.25/click and rest assure that MillionShort will never allow display a competing ad from sites in a tier of popularity greater than yours.

If your website has a populary ranking of 1,200,000, you are allowed to advertise for all types of searches performed on Million Short. But, a popular website with a ranking of 120,000 is only allowed to advertise in the "Remove top 100,000 sites" and up results type of search. Their ad will not appear if a user has omitted the top 1,000,000 results.
